Volunteer
Volunteer with AgeTrust
Befrienders, shed members and local helpers make our work possible. Give an hour a week and we provide training, support and expenses.

Volunteer roles
Choose the role that fits your week
No qualifications are needed. Patience, warmth and reliability matter far more.
Befriender
About an hour a week
Visit the same person each week for a chat over a cuppa. You'll be matched on shared interests and location.
Telephone befriender
20 minutes, a few times a week
Make regular calls from home to someone who lives alone. Ideal if you can't travel or have an unpredictable week.
Shed member or helper
Weekend sessions
Join Men in Sheds in Stafford, share a skill, or help keep the workshop running safely.
Fundraising and skills
Flexible
Run a fundraiser, help with admin, photography or social media, or lend your professional skills for a project.

I thought I would be doing something for Jean. As it turns out, Thursday afternoons are the best part of my week too.
